Scotland to Play Afghanistan

Scotland’s cricketers will play two ODI matches against Afghanistan in Edinburgh this summer.

The Afghan team created headlines during the ongoing ICC World T20 competition when they qualified for the Super 10 competition and beat the West Indies.

They also reduced England to 85 for 7 in a previous encounter.

The brace of one-day matches will take place at The Grange in Edinburgh later in the summer – the Scots will also meet UAE in two ODIs at Mannofield in Aberdeen.

Malcolm Cannon, the chief executive of Cricket Scotland, said: ” We want to give Scotland the chance to play against quality sides”.
