Global Super League 2025 Preview: Date, Venue, Team Squads, Format, and Live Streaming

The second season of the Global Super League (GSL) in 2025 is set to kick off from June 10 onwards (Thursday). This tournament, held by the Cricket West Indies (CWI) features five teams from different T20 franchise leagues across the world. All 11 matches, including the final match on July 18 (Friday), will be played at a single venue. 

Guyana Amazon Warriors and Rangpur Riders are the two participants from the previous season of GSL, while Dubai Capitals, Hobart Hurricanes, and Central Stags are set to make their debut in the tournament. 

With a few days left for the GSL 2025 to commence, this preview highlights the tournament’s format, participating teams, schedule, and squads. 

Format of the Global Super League 2025

Five teams will compete against each other once for an overall of 10 matches in the league stages of the forthcoming 20-over tournament, thereby following a single-round robin format.  

Based on maximum points or net run rate (NRR) accumulated, the top two teams will face off against each other to claim the highly coveted title.

However, it is to be noted that Rangpur Riders, the winners of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2023-24, were crowned as the inaugural edition champions of the Global Super League in 2024. 

Global Super League 2025 Hosting Venue 

The Providence Stadium in Guyana will host all 11 matches of the GSL 2025 from the 10th to the 18th of July.
