The International Cricket Council (ICC) officially confirmed the main dates, venues, and format for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. According to the recent announcement by the ICC on May 01 (Thursday), the tenth edition of the tournament kicks off in the second week of June, while the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground is confirmed to host the title clash. 

While the official schedule for the 24-day tournament is expected to be revealed soon, it is understood that the number of matches has been increased compared to the previous edition and will be hosted across seven different venues in England. 

For the first time, the Women’s T20 WC will feature 12 teams, including the hosting nation, England, and defending champions, New Zealand. This expansion promises to organize the T20 WC on a grand scale in women’s cricket history and make the competition fiercer among the teams to claim the highly coveted trophy.

  • Start Date: 12th June 2026 (Friday) 
  • Final Match Date: 05th July 2026 (Sunday)  
  • Overall Matches: 33 (10 matches added compared to the previous edition in 2024)
