Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) hired the head curator Tony Hemming to prepare the spin-friendly pitches for the upcoming 2-match test series against West Indies. As PCB suggested, the ground staff in Multan should develop rank turners ensuring the dryness and firmness of the pitch are maintained in winter despite excess cold weather conditions. 

The toss-winning captain may decide to bat first, analysing that the pitch would assist spinners to produce more variations. This makes it difficult for the batters to strike the ball with perfection as the game progresses.
